The traditional vinyl siding look is one where
each "board" appears to overlap the one
underneath to recreate the look of real wood
siding.

Another decorative variation of the
traditional style is beaded siding. It
features a half-round molding-like effect cut
into the bottom of the panel to create shadows
and more dimension. It evokes the elegant look
of Southern colonial and classic Victorian
homes.

Shakes have a square-edge design and rich
cedar texture that resembles hand-cut cedar
shingles. They can be used on the entire house
or as a decorative accent to add a New England
flair to a variety of home styles.

Dutchlap is a more decorative variation on the
clapboard style where the face of the siding
is beveled for added dimension. The bevel cut
of its edge recreates a style used extensively
by early American settlers. It resembles the
careful, hand-carved craftsmanship of old
world carpenters. The shadow line of dutchlap
suggests a softer look that gives the home a
distinctive exterior.

Blends siding features a matte color
combination that resembles natural woodgrain.
Unlike traditional vinyl siding, it features a
slightly weathered, stained-wood finish.

With a rounded bottom edge and overlapping
rows, scallops recreate the decorative style
typical of Victorian or Cape Cod homes.
Typically used as an architectural accent,
they add a decorative focal point to the
exterior. |
